Both Karl Marx and Thomas Jefferson meant well. They just didn't get it right. Marx believed that it was a matter of political power. Thomas Jefferson thought that it was a matter of free and ample education of citizens. The French Revolution, Stalin, communist China, the ‘60s taught us that the issue isn't, has never been, political power. And for Jefferson and western society, education has been the traditional European ideal: learning a scholarly accumulation of information and wisdom for the human mind. It isn't an education of our minds that is required. It's an education of our consciousness.

Higher consciousness is, always was, the issue. Awareness, sensitivity, openess, compassion. Intuitive knowledge, a real knowing. The ability to make real CONTACT with the earth, the universe, oneself and other people. The answers that a Religious Feeling State bring to us. That WE ARE ALL ONE.

Which reminds us that the WTO protestors are a lot like the ‘60s radicals. They believe that change can come through confronting the system, through the actions of people struggling for political power. They do not understand it is the self-healing cycle of the earth that is going to erradicate the disease here. And that those who survive this cleansing will be those of higher consciousness. As much as we too oppose the corporate structure of this planet, we must say: this is not what we mean by Circle of the EarthTM. This is not the end to the insanity. This is not how Circle of the EarthTM will come!
