Hey there! just wondering: anybody thinking: is THIS CONNECTED (not directly of course) to Columbine, to Oklahoma City, to the phony election in Florida, to the Microsoft monopoly verdict overturn, to global economics, to the earth heating up, to the bizarre recent shifts in weather, first record floods, then record droughts, to over-development of everything so that deer walk down city streets and cougar, now road-kill on interstates, have begun attacking people, to the comet Kohoutek appearing, to the fact that Athens is now 6 million people, Cairo, 10, Phoenix,4, to "road rage," to the AIDS epidemic, to mad cow disease, to all those who go to college for four years and get job at Wendys for $7.53 per hour and are 80 thousand dollars in debt, to running out of electricity in California, to the eagle on my Oregon property passing over as I sit outside writing this, to Terrence McKenna’s and Dumi Maraire’s deaths last year, to mass divorces and all those people living alone, to girls reaching puberty at 8 or 9, to the outbreak of obesity in 2nd graders, to the poisonous media of television, motion pictures, the "web" which are much, much less unique than they are all the same, to communicating by e-mail that is no communication really, to the unintelligible manuals that now come with things and the food wrappers that can’t be opened, to the newly appointed Secretary of Interior whose purpose is to destroy the interior as well as the accompanying borders.

Or is all of this just coincidental? We would like to think that, wouldn’t we, that it’s coincidental. Because then we can analyze it and use it to ‘up’ media ratings while avoiding our feelings with thinking, solutions and plans of attack. But mostly because, if it isn’t coincidental, if all of these events are related to each other, that implies there is some force or entity that is bigger than the events themselves. That the events are a part of something else that is happening. Much larger. And that is frightening. We must then admit that we are not in control. Problems, as our almost total dedication to the principles of science teaches us, are meant to, can be solved by the human brain. If there is some force or entity behind the events, so that they themselves are a kind of facade, then we do not know what to do. For it does not follow any material laws that we know.

If you have been wondering about this, if you’ve noticed something is going on, then we at Circle of the EarthTM would say: you are outside the stream of time. The human reality. The collective societal consciousness. And remind you that we have said from the beginning on our web site, rather poetically we think:

"THERE IS NO RHYME, SENSE OR REASON. IT JUST HAPPENS TO BE THE SEASON."

And

"...much of the human species will destroy itself through the earth’s process of healing."

Perhaps some more of you will understand what this means. But if you don’t, that’s OK. Even if you don’t read this, that’s OK. It really doesn’t have anything to do with what is happening. And it won’t change anything, except what may happen to you.

But if you do understand, we would like to hear from you. Because now you may begin to understand what Circle of the EarthTM is all about. To understand: why we are here.
