Calling in the Circle
What is a communal tribe? A communal tribe is a group in which each person in the group is known personally by all the other members and is accepted by everyone as being a part of the community. Thus groups such as clubs, societies and gatherings are not usually communal tribes because all of the members do not know most of the other members although they have come together for some mutually beneficial purpose.
One can become a part of a communal tribe in one of two ways: either one is born into the communal tribe or one goes through an initiation. "Initiation" means a process that a potential member goes through so that all of the present members can come to know that person. In this way, they can determine if he or she does belong. The purpose of an intiation is to establish mutual recognition.
There are two levels to belonging to Circle of the Earth: 1) anyone can belong to the Circle. 2)or, if you wish, you can ask to become a member of the community. This involves an initation: responding to some questionings, etc. that is done via the internet. All activities, including the Circle Talking Room, are open to all who belong to the Circle.
If you wish to belong to the Circle and participate in the Circle Talking Room, etc., you must register and receive your password.
